The Department trains nearly 150 UG Medical students every year and 1 PG per year. The Department also trains paramedical students and conducts Basic Science theory classes for clinical Post Graduates.
PGs are trained in Pharmacovigilance, chemical assay, animal handling, preclinical evaluation and animal simulation. They are also trained in research paper presentations and encouraged to participate in conferences. Industrial training is also given to the pgs.
UGs are encouraged to do research and present their results in Conferences/ CMEs. Students are also motivated to do STS projects. All the Staffs are interested in research and regularly publish research papers in reputed journals.
• Pharmacovigilance centre is under the care of the department.
• Every year state level quiz conference is conducted.
• Scientific review board is being conducted every alternate month to guide the researchers.
